My name is Mark Bailey and I have always had a passion to help promote others health and personal wellbeing. I have been involved in the fitness and dance industry since 2001 with qualifications as a fitness instructor and salsa teacher.
I hadn’t realised the range of benefits that can be achieved from a massage until I experienced it myself after suffering with a shoulder injury from dancing. I really struggled for well over a year, going to the doctors only to be prescribed ibuprofen and rest. This didn’t help at all and if anything it actually got worse. I decided to book myself a sports massage and after the first treatment I felt some relief from the problem. Within two months I was nearly back to full health.
This made me realise you don’t have to put up with chronic pain and discomfort that make it difficult to do everyday tasks and things you enjoy, and there is potential to become pain free.
This experience inspired me to train as a sports and remedial massage therapist in 2011 with the Oxford School of Sports Massage.
I have been practicing since I qualified in 2012 and now have a great deal of experience. I currently treat clients with fibromyalgia, sporting injuries, day-to-day wear and tear and arthritis to name a few.
Massage therapy aims to enhance a persons health and wellbeing by using hands-on manipulation of soft tissue and muscles in the body.
